Keene Trace Golf Club only took up hosting duties in 2018, after the event spent the first three years at Grand National Golf Club’s Lake Course in Alabama. It provides the opportunity for a life-changing win for both sets of players and a direct route to golf’s biggest stage for those DPWT competitors whilst the top finishing player not already exempt for next week will earn entry into our final major of the year.
A position it held up until last year when it was moved to this slot on the schedule as part of the co-sanctioned double-header between the PGA Tour and DP World Tour.
The Barbasol Championship debuted on the PGA Tour in 2015 as an alternate-field event played opposite The Open Championship.
